Rosemont began as one cozy store on Brighton Avenue. In the early days, we were five people. Today we employ more than 85 people. We have a 24/7 bakery and kitchen, five markets in neighborhoods in Portland and Yarmouth, and a warehouse which distributes to our markets and wholesales to restaurants. We also have a delivery service to the islands of Casco Bay and an events-planning wing. We are committed to growing intelligently while retaining the feel of those smaller, simpler days. We are looking for a creative and motivated food lover to join us, full time, at our production kitchen!. You should be able to properly follow recipes but also be willing and able to create new products using the wide array available from Rosemont's many sources.

Our production kitchen supplies our 5 retail locations with fresh hand made prepared foods. As we move into the warmer season our focus switches from pot pies and hot soup to salads, gazpachos and spreads. We have a large selection of recipes to rotate through and we always welcome fresh ideas and inspiration.

This is a full time, daytime position. Candidates must have prior professional cooking experience.

Some job requirements include:

  • At least one year experience in food service as a cook
  • Ability to lift 50 pound cartons or bags
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Some weekend availability
  • Strong communication skills
  • A positive attitude & an interest in people and food
