At East Meets West Catering, our staff have full ownership of their assigned events. They are team leaders able to balance the simultaneous demand of exceptional guest service and experiences, assist in the overall logistics of an event, find solutions and protect the company’s business interests.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 55 pounds or less on a regular basis
  • Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and occasionally holiday’s
  • May require you to attend client meetings or site visits prior to the event
  • Set up and break down of events
  • Proper handling of food and sanitation regulations

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-Year prior experience in the role applied for; prior experience working in customer service, catering, hotels, country clubs or high-end restaurants a plus
  • High energy/showmanship
  • Aesthetic/Creative/Artistic eye
  • Passionate about events, design and food & beverage
  • Polished presentation and communication
  • Demonstrated ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Team player and the ability to work with others
  • Ability to take direction and execute tasks with little to no supervision
  • Based on job requirements, TIPS Certification and ServeSafe Certification preferred

 

We are hiring Event staff for the following positions:

  • Event Manager
  • Servers
  • Event Chef
  • Chef Assistant
  • Bartender

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is an on-call hourly position, with hours in accordance with business levels. Requires a willingness to commit to working 2-3 Saturdays in May, June and December. 

 

Work Authorization/Compensation and Benefits

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Competitive hourly rate. Full-time employees of East Meets West Catering and Rebecca’s Café Inc., are eligible for benefits including health, dental, 401K, vacation time and flexible spending account.
