Emory University Hospital is elevating the health care dining experience for patients, families, visitors and staff. We provide hotel-style room service dining for our patients and craft creative menus in our retail operations for guests and employees. Our retail dining facility features local growers and distributors, such as Pearson Farms, Springer Mountain Farm, Atlanta Fresh Yogurt and others. This year, we introduced locally roasted, shade-grown coffee from a family farm in Nicaragua with Rainforest Alliance and USDA Organic certifications. We are proud of a garden on the campus of one of our hospitals, which, each year, increases in size and bounty in the delivery of freshly and sustainably grown, plant-ripened produce that our chefs integrate into our menus. Emory Healthcare's employee wellness program, Healthy Emory, is designed to provide the resources and environment to promote a healthy culture for the entire Emory community. This year, we rolled out a new nutrition labeling program, Better Choice, which guides consumers to options on the menu that reflect optimal nutrition €“ including reduced sodium, saturated fat and added sugars, and increase fiber and protein. We will continue to expand that program in 2017, and are excited about the opportunity to engage our staff as champions for good health and to serve as model for how to develop a flavor- and health-focused Food & Nutrition Services program in health care.

Job Description

High volume room service & retail food service operations needs experienced front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house food service professionals who are empathetic, compassionate and take pride in their ability to make a difference in the lives of our patients and families.
