The Market Restaurant is a seasonal, truly farm to table restaurant in Gloucester, MA. Over the past 8 years, we have worked closely with our farmers, fishermen and ranchers to write small, ingredient-driven menus that truly reflect the bounty and beauty of New England's warmer months. Co-owners and chefs Nico and Amelia Monday were inspired by their many years cooking at Chez Panisse to open their own heart-felt venture here on the North Shore, and have inspired this small coastal community to view food and dining with sustainability, creativity and a greater sense community in mind.
Line cooks are The Market Restaurant have the opportunity to work with an experienced and dedicated team, right on the water in the country's oldest fishing village. We use only the best produce, fish and meat, delivered directly from the farmers themselves. We are open for 5 months each year, between May and October. Our Chez Panisse roots inspire the casual, french-inspired food (with a strong New England slant). We are a small but mighty owner-operated restaurant with a staff that returns to our floor and kitchen year after year. Looking for an experienced line cook for dinner service only (pastry skills a plus!).
