The General Manager of Island Creek Oyster Bar, Boston, will oversee all restaurant operations. In collaboration with the Island Creek Oyster Farm Team in Duxbury, this person will help to demonstrate aquaculture and food sustainability through the restaurant dining experience.
Island Creek Oyster Bar is a fine dining seafood restaurant located in Boston’s Kenmore Square. Island Creek Oyster Bar is a collaboration between the farmer, restaurateur and chef, designed to bring the guest closer to the people and products that influence the dining experience. Island Creek Oyster Bar’s menu changes daily, as the culinary team is continually creating dishes with produce coming into season and hyper local seafood. Island Creek Oyster Bar was designed to represent the working ICO Farm, both aesthetically and culturally.
Island Creek Oyster Bar seeks a driven General Manager to oversee restaurant operations. Neighbors and partners include The Hotel Commonwealth, as well as the Boston Red Sox and Boston University. The right candidate will be energized to capture the ICO ethos and culture in a restaurant setting with fine dining service in a high volume atmosphere. This person will lead a talented management team eager to impact restaurant service and guest experience.
Island Creek Oyster Bar is part of a larger restaurant collective including Eastern Standard, The Hawthorne, Row 34, Branch Line and Les Sablons.
We are looking for candidates with the following credentials:
- Service and Management Experience in a Restaurant Setting
- Experience with Menu Development and Staff Education
- Excellent Organization and Communication Skills
- Demonstrated Team Management Experience
- Ability to Problem Solve and Create Business Oriented Solutions
