Responsibilities include: check the quality of baking ingredients, prepare equipment for baking, measure and weigh flour and other ingredients, use knives and other sharp objects and equipment and tools to chop, cut and mix ingredients as necessary, combine measured ingredients in mixers or blenders, knead, roll, cut, and shape dough, place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets, set oven temperatures, place and bake items in hot ovens or on grills, observe color and state of products being baked, and apply glazes, icings, or other toppings. You may also create new recipes and alter/change current recipes to further enhance the final product. Also, keeping the work area clean and equipment and tools clean and unload supplies is also required.
Generalized work activities include: Handling and Moving Objects Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Performing General Physical Activities Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting to 50lbs, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
