HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
It's our favorite holiday for one very good reason: the main purpose is to get everyone around the table to enjoy a good home-cooked meal.
Taylor's picking up her turkey from our good friends at Dickson's Farmstand Meats (we hear they still have about 50 extra turkeys, in case any of you still need one . . . they also just posted a Butchering Internship, so if you're looking to learn about meat, there's an opportunity to be thankful for).
We most certainly have a lot to be thankful for this year. Our crazy idea - a fantasy we conjured up on a roadtrip to Ithaca - has now turned into a reality. And every time that a job poster alerts us of the great candidates that they found through Good Food Jobs, or a job seeker lets us know that they got their job through our website, we're eternally grateful to be doing what we love.
So Happy Thanksgiving. May yours be filled with a bounty of fresh food, compelling ideas, and incredible opportunities.

GIVING THANKS
Though we're thankful to have started our own operation, we most certainly did not do it alone. We had help and endless inspiration from other small businesses - food related and otherwise. We'd like to pay it forward.
Zingerman's prints and publishes the books on their own and forgoes the usual channels of distribution (i.e. you won't find it in a big box book store). So we thought we'd get creative and help get more copies out to more good people.
If we order more than 25 copies, we can get a 30% discount, making each copy only $20. For those of you who are Brooklyn-based, or have a friend who is, email us at taylor@goodfoodjobs.com if you are interested in purchasing a copy. We'll place the order and coordinate a pick-up at the Grand Army Plaza Farmers Market on Saturday December 4th.
If you're interested, let us know, as we do need at least 25 to make it worth everyone's while.
And if you have any other good book recommendations on food and/or business, do let us know.
