Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.

                             - Susie, GFJ Fan

"It's inspiring to know that two of my fellow female twenty-somethings are so driven and passionate about changing the way Americans think about food. Know that I deeply appreciate what y'all are doing for this nation."

"Thanks so much for your prompt, courteous, and caring attention."

We're so glad to be of service.

THAT'S RIGHT, YOUR FAVORITE GOOD FOOD JOBS DELIVERED TO YOUR INBOX DAILY.

Face it: we all have a hundred things on our to-do list every day. We're working, running to the farmers' market, planting a garden, searching out ingredients for our latest must-make recipe, trying to cook dinner for family and friends, or attempting to do all of the above.

We don't want you to be a slave to your computer any more than you have to be. And we're pretty sure that the path to your dream job does NOT involve sitting behind your laptop refreshing your browser every 10 minutes. Or trying to remember exactly what combination of search criteria brought up that tempting opportunity that you almost applied for yesterday, but can no longer seem to find.

So we created a tool just for you! Our new email alerts let you save your favorite searches (be it by geographic location, type of employment, category of job, keyword, or any/all of the above). This function also gives you the option to get any matching results emailed to you every day that they are newly posted. It's just another way we're working to ensure that you don't miss out on your dream job.

Hopefully this tool will help you target your search and give you more time and energy to attend that food event you've been meaning to go to, try a new restaurant, or teach your neighbor how to bake your grandmother's banana bread.

Note: We're good, but we're certainly not perfect. Don't forget to let us know if you run into any bugs or glitches.

Wendy Stuart
FOOD DAY Coordinator:
Washington, DC
Center for Science in the Public Interest

It's rather obvious to say that food is universal - everyone eats. But meeting Wendy, we can't help but be inspired by the reminder that no matter where each of us ends up in our career, we can usually find some connection to food in our past, a memory from our youth that bonds us forever with a taste or smell or sight. Fittingly, Wendy's current good food job is dedicated to her quest to ensure that everyone - including those with very few resources - has enough to eat. We believe, as she does, that the quality of food is as important as the effort to make sure that everyone has access to it. Read More

This isn't the type of job post that you see on the site every day, but if it can help Kristen's Dad stay nourished through his chemotherapy, then we are happy to help spread the word. After all, what is food for, if not to nourish people in sickness and in health.
