Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.

the gastrognomes is a blog for food lovers who want to put their passions to work. We profile the most interesting, engaging, and unlikely food professionals that we find, and we publish them here to inspire you.
NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
I recently came across your website, and I have to say, it has been quite inspiring and has compelled me to refocus on the career shift that I have been too timid to jump into for the past decade.
- Diara, Job Seeker
Thanks for all the work that you do toward building a better food community in our world!
- Cristina, Job Seeker
Lately, your emails have been really inspiring. Week after week, there are tidbits of really useful information and encouragement to just go out there and do it.
- Emily, Job Seeker
We're so glad to be of service.

In this season of giving we always like to note that sometimes the most important thing you can give is not a physical object after all: it's your time.
In this particular instance, we encourage you to give your time and energy - about 10 minutes per nomination - to the businesses that you have really grown to admire over the year. The National Resources Defence Council runs an incredible awards program called the Growing Green Awards. They are accepting nominations until Friday December 9th in four specific categories:
-
Food Producer
-
Business Leader
-
Food Justice Leader
-
Young Food Leader
Winning an award like this can not only mean monetary compensation for hard working leaders in the field ($10,000, no cash prize, $2,500 and $2,500, respectively), but it can also provide some much needed publicity for folks who are doing important work within the world of sustainable food.
So we encourage you to take a few minutes out of your day to nominate at least one person. We know you - more than anyone - have your finger on the pulse of who is doing great work in the field (literally and figuratively), and who you want to see get the accolades that they deserve.
To nominate someone now, click here.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy

Jason Foscolo
Attorney
Jason Foscolo LLC
Not to - excuse the expression - beat a dead horse, but for anyone wondering whether last week's featured good food worker, Carly , was the only person who successfully found a way to combine food and law...the answer is no, and we've got Jason to prove it. Jason's stateside practice shows us how attorneys can be used in a proactive manner to make more sound business decisions, which is something all of us small food businesses can use to propel the movement. Not only does he relish bringing his work home with him, but he also sometimes eats it for dinner. Read More
