ISSUE NO. 770

WE'RE ON THE PRECIPICE . . .

Regardless of your system of belief, we can probably all agree that there are forces much bigger and stronger than any one of us at play. This month brings a slew of potent astrological portals. While we do our best to stay grounded, we're not immune to the energetic occurrences across the universe.

And yet, we know deep in our bones, belly, and heart that together we hold immense power. The energy that we hold - individually and as a collective - matters. The path forward requires keeping our eyes, our minds, and our hearts wide open, and letting what we see and feel lead us in actions big and small, together.

We sound like a broken record because we reiterate the truth: no one person will save us and no single action will magically make everything better. There is not a checklist to mark off, only a rhythm to follow. There are always ways to learn and grow. There are always ways to contribute.

What this time - and all times - require (and have always required) is faith to get up each day, and to look out for and love each other, over and over and over again. While none of the humans currently alive on the Earth will likely be here 120 years from now, life - in some form or another - will continue to prevail.

Helpful actions are the most hopeful ones. We've compiled tangible ideas on how to create energetic ripples in your daily life, devoting this week's tidbits to inspiration across the spectrum (but please do reply with ideas that you've created and / or seen, too).

The only wrong move is to squander your precious energy feeling helpless and hopeless, spending hours scrolling and sick with worry. Channel that energy into something - anything - that will strengthen the web that we are all a part of.

In Connection,

Do One Small Thing . . . now take the one small thing from last week and extend it outside of your immediate orbit...you tell us: what small action out in the world confirmed that no contribution is too big or too small? Did you make a meal for a neighbor in need, stack firewood for a friend, gift something, or gather? What are the ways that you have been showing up in community.

Nikki Blak reminds us all how to transform your feelings into movement. This episode of Interrupting Business As Usual is especially helpful for those who want to break out of the cycle of helplessness into tangible action.

When you are unsure how to raise your voice, join the chorus. You are not alone, and the organizers from Singing Resistance Twin Cities have organized toolkits, songbooks, and trainings for you to amplify your voice with others.
