Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.

the gastrognomes is a blog for food lovers who want to put their passions to work. We profile the most interesting, engaging, and unlikely food professionals that we find, and we publish them here to inspire you.

Happy Monday,
It's a big week for the gastrognomes, for two important reasons:
1. We're adding another headquarters location: Greensboro, VT. Taylor is moving to the Green Mountain State for approximately one year. She looks forward to crossing paths with passionate food folks in Vermont, New York, and everywhere in between.
And she's fortunate to have found a place as food-forward as Vermont to make a temporary second home. If you're missing Taylor already, then apply for the position at the Vermont Food Venture Center . . . you'll only be a 10 minute drive from her.
* NOTE: Don't worry, the beauty of a web based business is that we can run it from anywhere. Dorothy and Taylor will still collaborate daily on every aspect, they'll just be more reliant on web-based communication than ever before.
2. We're adding another member to our team. Three weeks ago we posted for a Good Food Jobs Outreach Intern. We're happy to say that the site works for us, too: we got over 30 applicants, all of which were prime candidates (we almost wish there were less of them, as it was extremely difficult to choose).
We'll be reaching out to the candidates this week, so stay tuned. We're excited to not only post good food jobs, but to also create them.
Here's to the growing food movement.

Dave Selden
Creator & Chief Fulfillment Officer
33 Books Co.
Dave’s success story is just the way we like it: unconventional and grassroots. As a graphic designer with years of marketing experience, he was uniquely well-positioned to design and publish his own book ideas, and to spread the word about them. But the key, as he’ll tell you himself, is not that he had an idea, but that he acted on it. People write to us gastrognomes every day to praise us for stealing their idea, and we don’t take it for granted. Instead we use our platform to introduce people like Dave, who just might encourage someone out there to take the leap on an idea that’s been keeping them up at night. Read more
