SOMETIMES . . . 

 
The words come swiftly to me, and other times they get stuck. Why?

We humans tend to develop habits - many bad, others pretty good - and we may need to work counter to those habits in order to create something worthwhile.

That might mean that you don't assume faster is better, or more is more. Or, according to the article in our tidbits section below: when we don't let our mind wander, the ideas don't have space to present themselves.

Today, we're choosing a walk outside over searching the internet for inspiration. Here's to fresh ideas, and to the moments when we are fresh out.

Try doing nothing for a while. The reminder we always need to hear. 

There are many different ways to learn. I wish I had done more of this early on in life, but it's never too late to start. 

Nothing makes our mind wander and work better than games. This is like Bananagrams (you can use the same tiles) but more fun for folks who like a challenge. It's one of our favorite ways to enjoy a cold, dark day. 

Freshness is essential. That makes all the difference.
