ISSUE NO. 442

THE WHEELS ARE IN MOTION . . .

We are starting to connect GFJ users that live in the same area. It took about three weeks to wade through the responses, which came in the form of emails, and we we reviewed them one by one - not the most efficient way to do it, but in the end, surprisingly valuable. We learned about folks from all over the world, including two folks from Taylor's own home town, and two living down the road from her now.

There was a little dopamine rush every time a user wrote in from a place where someone else had already requested a connection (and in some cases, exactly two people - for example, Copenhagen, Santa Fe, NM, Haddon Heights, NJ, and Dayton, NV - what are the odds?) It's almost as if we could feel the latent energy ready to unfold between two genuine humans with similar interests.

We also loved how many folks wrote about upcoming moves - and used it as an opportunity to connect with people in places they plan to move (or dream of moving).

And while we were able to connect a large majority of folks, there are still some users that reached out in places that no one else had written from. If you happen to live in one of these areas and want to connect, please let us know:
