Bellwether Farms is hiring a new member to our accounting team! Bellwether Farms is a creamery located in Western Sonoma County. We make cow and sheep milk cheeses and yogurts. We are looking for a motivated, friendly and organized individual to join our team. The ideal candidate is a reliable professional with broad knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles.

Job description

Key responsibilities:

• Proficient in the use of Quickbooks and Excel
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• Perform routine AP/AR duties
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Calculate weekly bank deposits
• Assist in sales orders and invoices
• Assist as needed in other parts of our operation. We are a small business with many business functions.
• Participate in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation

Desired proficiencies:

• 2 years experience as an accounting or finance manager or similar role
• Multi-tasking without sacrificing speed or accuracy
• Degrees and/or certifications in Accounting or Administration a plus
• Detail-oriented, cooperative team player
• QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and competent PC use

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $20.00 - $30.00
