Job description
Full Charge Bookkeeper needed with strong administrative and organizational skills for a Seafood Distribution Company in the Bronx. Must be responsible, reliable, and trustworthy, extremely detail oriented, and a fast learner. Accounting and QuickBooks experience necessary.
Responsibilities/Requirements for Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 7 years of previous experience as a full charge bookkeeper to include working with accounts payable and receivable, general ledger.
- Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping, reporting and spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Well organized with attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and make suggestions on improving bookkeeping processes for efficiency.
- Strong computer and writing skills necessary, confidentiality, thoroughness, the ability to follow through with the task at hand in a timely fashion.
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in QuickBooks, MS Excel and MS Word
- General ledger & journal entries
- Bank reconciliation
- Payroll
