Job description
The city launcher will be our first “boots on the ground” in a new market responsible for getting our kitchen up and running. In this fast-paced role, you will arrive in a new city and establish Pilotworks as the preeminent food entrepreneurship hub, hire and train a permanent team, bring online a fully operational facility, and then free yourself up to move to the next city. You will help guide our understanding of the market, oversee the build, develop partner and vendor relationships, and much more, all while making sure the project stays on time, and on budget. This role requires willingness to travel 90% of the time.
What you'll be responsible for:

- Be the champion of your market. You will represent Pilotworks as the face and voice of the brand on the ground and in HQ.
- Develop a deep understanding of the market and communicate insights that inform our launch and go-to-market decisions.
- Coordinate across all Pilotworks teams to solve problems and remove friction and ambiguity related to any action or decision that puts a successful launch at risk. You’ll be managing multiple projects, communicating with numerous entities, and finding solutions to any roadblocks.
- Explore business development opportunities through sponsorships and partnerships to increase awareness and visibility of Pilotworks in your city.
- Spearhead hiring of the local General Manager and set up the local team for long term success.
- Drive on-the-ground marketing initiatives by working with our Marketing and Sales teams in HQ to ensure the city hits its goals.
- Continually help to develop and refine our go-to-market strategy.

- Dedicated. Launchers travel frequently and call a new city home every couple of months. You should be passionate about Pilotworks mission of helping people start food businesses excited to embed yourself into each new city.
- A Leader. The Launcher is a leader within the city. You are a natural leader who have a demonstrated track record of leading initiatives within your organization.
- Excited to Travel. The Launcher will be on the road all the time, setting up shop in a new city for 3-6 months at a time. You must be ready for life on the move.
Qualifications:

- 5+ years work in Food and Beverage and 2+ years of management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, new MBAs welcome
- Experience leading a cross-functional team
- Previous start-up experience is a plus
Compensation
this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $70,000.00 - $85,000.00
