Ninety Acres is a restaurant nestled in the hills of Somerset County that serves modern cuisine with a focus on seasonality and local products. There is a 12 acre sustainable farm on the property as well as a cooking school, and a renovated mansion from 1912 that accommodates up to 225 guest for wedding and social events.
Job description
Opportunities to brainstorm, create and execute new menu items along with the team for the tasting menu as well as the a la carte dessert and cheese menu. Duties will include setting up, breaking down and cleaning of the Pastry Station for dinner service. As well as baking pies, cookies, tuiles etc and plating. This is a wonderful experience to learn and grow in an establishment that has grand plans for the future. All items are made in house from scratch including ice creams, sorbets, pizza dough, cakes, pies, buttercream, etc.
Experience is preferred but we are more than willing to teach cooks with a passionate spirit and an openness to learn. We are looking for someone who has a great attitude as well as a good work ethic. The ideal candidate must be able to scale and execute recipes with accuracy and speed as well as work cleanly and efficiently. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Work week is 5 days per week for about 10 hours per day.

Compensation
