We are seeking a farmer, farmers or farming family to run a CSA, or any kind of organic operation, from our feature-filled farm. It's what the owner likes to call a "turn-key" operation - just about everything a potential farmer could need (and then some) is provided. Land (20 tillable acres), equipment, buildings and even a charming cottage, currently being Airbnb'd, that could potentially be used as a domicile.

The best part, I think, about our farm is that it's the to be the jewel in the crown of some significant green-space at the center of our planned sustainable community. The idea is that by virtue of having this as a feature, the property values on the surrounding lots will increase, sort of like a golf course development, or homes surrounding a lake. What this means for our potential entrepreneur is that no rent, profit-sharing or any other payment for the use of the farm need be paid unless and until the farmer actually turns a profit. I don't mean kicking the can down the road, either; even plans for that would not be discussed until the farm was in the black. In addition, any mowing/cleanup/repairs that may need to be done prior to turn-over would also come from our end.
