Job description

About the role:

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and performing overnight (3rd shift) sanitation activities. You’ll verify compliance with established sanitation SOPs and help expand on internal programs such as our Environmental Monitoring Program.


In a typical week, you will...

  • Supervise a team of 2-3 sanitation associates, make the rotation plan based on a 6 day work schedule. Schedule back ups if anyone calls off. Manage attendance, (overtime / on time).
  • Implement SOPs and perform cleaning on equipment such as: Urschel, conveyor belt and metal detector etc.
  • Coordinate and ensure scheduled environmental swabs are taken per our Environmental Monitoring Program and submitted to QA for analysis.
  • Verify sanitation records are completed/filed accurately.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure areas and equipment are cleaned, sanitized and ready for production.
  • Ensure sanitation associates are properly trained on proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment / various production areas.
  • Assist with corrective actions per the facility for any microbiological concerns, allergen concerns, GMP standards, and pest control audits.
  • Assist with reviews and updates to equipment cleaning procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education and Work Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, specifically in sanitation management
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science or food chemistry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Functional knowledge of food safety plans and chemicals
  • Able to stand up to 8 hours under 40℉, while working with and around machinery, able to lift 60 lbs
