Job description
The GIANT Heirloom Market (GHM) Partner demonstrates their commitment to our Values by performing the following behaviors under direction by the Assistant Store Manager or Team Leader:
Inspires customers by:
- Greeting them, making eye contact, smiling, and saying hello
- Getting to know the customers/being part of the neighborhood
- Educating self and other Partners about products to share this knowledge
- Answering questions and enthusiastically helping customers find items
- Offering suggestions for meals and entertaining
- Operating the self-checkout in an efficient manner, being respectful of customers' time
- Promptly getting back to customers who have questions that need follow up
Prepares the GIANT Heirloom Market for customers by:
- Receiving, unloading, storing and verifying deliveries
- Supervising the stocking shelves, rotation of product and the recording of shrink
- Building engaging, informative merchandise displays
- Creating inspirational food sampling programs
- Exercising proper food handling procedures
- Training and development of other Partners
Participates with the Partners by:
- Being friendly, courteous and respectful of other Partners - having a positive attitude
- Supports other Partners in daily job assignments and timely completion of tasks
- Working with a sense of urgency to complete tasks within designated time frames
- Seeking out new assignments and responsibilities for themselves
- Discovering ways to improve processes and sharing this knowledge with the team
- Enhances their skills, abilities and knowledge through training and coursework to become educated experts
- Understands the importance of safety and performs tasks safely
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $12.00 - $17.65
