Company description In Tribeca, Farm.One grows rare, hard-to-find varieties of herbs, greens, microgreens and edible flowers to order for only the best restaurants in NYC. In addition, we offer tours, classes and events. We love growing amazing rare food and sharing it with the world. 

Our farm is underneath the two Michelin-starred restaurant Atera, and serves restaurants with a combined total of over 21 Michelin stars.

Farm.One grows in a compact, completely clean, controlled indoor environment with color-enriching LED lights, hydroponics and a careful chef's touch. Job description

Farm.One is seeking an enthusiastic and friendly instructor to conduct classes. This individual will interact with a wide variety of different customers and serve as a frontline representative of our company. A deep knowledge of controlled-environment agriculture systems and what helps plants thrive is essential. Utmost professionalism and attention to detail are a must.

Working hours are weekday evenings and weekend mornings. Standard classes are on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, but we are looking to build out this schedule, so the ideal candidate will be flexible.

In addition to strong time management skills, the candidate must be a people person who can quickly build rapport upon meeting customers for the first time.

This will be a fun and rewarding position for the right person. You will have the opportunity to provide guests with an enjoyable and memorable experience that they will keep with them for the rest of their lives.

This is a trainable position, so past instructor experience is not required. However, the right person will have a depth of indoor growing experience that allows them to answer almost any question on the subject. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial, and the candidate should have some interest in food and the New York culinary scene.
