Full-Time, PM shifts
Location: 2105 Lyndale Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN 55405
PURPOSE: To receive, rotate, prepare, cook, package, stock and maintain food, signage and wares for the service cases and kitchen with the intent of providing the best customer service. To maintain a level of cleanliness and organization that exceeds health department standards. To assist in record keeping of all aspects of food kitchen production.
REPORTS TO: Prepared Foods Managers
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receive and rotate incoming product, checking for quality, safety and accuracy.
- Prepare, label and maintain foods and wares for Hot & Cold tables, Rotisserie; work with Made to Order station on set-up.
- Work with management on meeting pars, while maintaining recipe consistency.
- Help complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, time and temp recording and organizational tasks.
- Be available to answer questions from staff, and provide customer service on sales floor.
- Work in a safe manner, following safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Repeated bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Exposure to temperature extremes (both hot and cold)
- Exposure to cleaning solutions
- Climbing ladders
- Working with knives and other sharp objects
- Standing and walking for an 8 hour shift
- Manual dexterity
- Ability of perform continuous fine work with hands
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience cooking in a commercial kitchen environment; restaurant, food service, caterer or deli
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Experience working with customers
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by UFCW 1189.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, under $15/hr
