Job description
Organic Farm Worker
Come work on one of the most beautiful organic farms in the PNW.
This position is responsible for a variety of tasks on the farm including,
- Harvesting delicious vegetables
- Post-Harvest/Wash Station
- Planting & Irrigation
- Tillage, Cultivation, Weeding & Thinning
- Livestock (feeding, moving coops, collecting eggs, egg washing, watering)
- Farmers Markets
Key Requirements:
- Available through the end of November
- Ability to work hard; up to 50 lbs: perform physical work
- Ability to thrive under challenging conditions and be flexible and respond to changes that arise due to schedule change or adverse weather conditions
- Positive attitude
- Consistent attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of organic vegetable production
- Interest in the educational side of agriculture
- Experience working with children and youth in a garden setting
- Able to pass a background check including driving record
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15/hr +
