Stitchdown Farm is a diversified flower farm & floristry, located on the ancestral, unceded territory of the Abenaki people, in the foothills of the Green Mountains. We grow specialty cut flowers on 2 acres for retail, wholesale and event design. We are also a family-scale homestead, raising vegetables, pork, chickens, maple syrup and cider. Stitchdown is a multifarious place that is driven by flowers.

Job description

May - October
$12 - $15 DOE; 30-40 Hours/wk
Must be able to work weekends.
Must have experience as freelance florist.

You will be doing both farming and floristry. You will be able and willing to design weekly arrangements for our CSA, wholesale bouquets, and weekly weddings. You'll also be able and willing to work out on the farm in between floral design requirements. Farm tasks include, harvesting, weeding, trellising, watering, compost shoveling, transplanting etc. Floristry duties beyond arranging include: wholesale order management, weekly mixed bouquet order fulfillment, processing flowers, managing cooler inventory, wholesale deliveries, weekend wedding prep and install. You will be part of all aspects of the cut flower operation.

Compensation

this position is: salaried, less than $50,000
