Job description

Up and coming board game cafe in Brooklyn is looking for fresh talent to join our team! Cashiers and Baristas needed and having a passion for board games is a huge plus! With this new establishment, there is an incredible amount of room for growth! We are super excited to be training fresh staff and creating a culture all our own.

We are looking for diverse baristas whose responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders

- Greet customers as they enter

- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)

- Prepare beverages following recipes

- Receive and process payments

- Keep the bar area clean

- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates

- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs

- Comply with health and safety regulations

- Communicate customer feedback to managers

- Serve beverages and prepared food, like bagels with cream cheese, butter etc., cookies, pastries, and muffins

-Maintain regular and punctual attendance, and communicate scheduling request changes in a timely manner

Our barista needs to be knowledgeable, considerate, friendly, organized, and have a willingness to work, learn and grow with us.

Our ideal candidate has an energetic, positive outlook with a can-do mentality. Someone who is solution driven rather than a reporter of issues.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15/hr +
