ABOUT OUR FARM
Nye Ranch is located on a historic 6 acre property with 1 acre in year-round production. Our methods focus on biologically intensive & regenerative no-till market farming techniques, situated 1,200' from the Pacific Ocean on the Mendocino Coast. We are located just 2 miles North of downtown Fort Bragg in Northern California. Nye Ranch grows a wide array of annual vegetables, strawberries, and specialty cut-flowers. We have a deep appreciation for the land and sea, with our farm certified through the Mendocino Organic Network's "Mendocino Renegade" Program.
Despite our small scale we grow an amazing diversity with over 60 individual vegetable varieties and 100 flower varieties. We are committed to growing delicious nutrient dense food and sustainable colorful blooms. We sell our produce and flowers at 2 weekly Farmer’s Markets in Fort Bragg and Mendocino, our onsite Farm Stand with Highway 1 frontage, as well as to chefs, grocery stores and through our local wholesale food hub. To maximize production, sustainability, fertility and efficiency we incorporate cover crops, compost, compost tea, landscape fabric, crop rotations, native plant pollinator hedgerows and intensive spacing. The farm has a private path to MacKerricher State Park which has beautiful beaches, tide-pools, cute seals, pine forests, whale watching and a seaside bike path to the charming & quaint town of Fort Bragg.
