MatchaBar is a Matcha cafe & company founded by two brothers in Brooklyn, New York. MatchaBar opened its flagship—the country's first specialty matcha cafe—in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2014. In 4 short years, the team has opened 3 cafes and taken a bottled product to the national market. All the while, the MatchaFam remains on a simple mission: to bring matcha to the people, sharing better energy with the world around them!

Job description
MatchaBar is looking to add a member to the family! We are in need of smart, engaging, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals who are up for the challenge of introducing, educating and serving MATCHA to our community in New York City. The team is currently hiring for our high-volume SoHo window - a collaborative space we share with Dig Inn on Prince st and Crosby. We are seeking individuals comfortable bringing enthusiasm, positivity, and high-quality standards while working at a fast pace!
Knowledge and affinity for Matcha is a bonus for any potential candidate, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn quickly works just as well. As MatchaBar team members, we are in many ways product ambassadors, educators, and promoters. Being excited to share the benefits of Matcha with the "uninitiated" is a major part of the job!
As a MatchaBar barista you will be responsible for preparing and serving our Matcha beverages and educating our customers about Matcha and our philosophy in a friendly and professional manner. MatchaBar is first and foremost driven by its community. It is critical that our staff is collectively welcoming to everyone who visits and comes to work excited to spread Matcha and its benefits to our customers.
MatchaBar is a rapidly growing company, with two cafes and a bottled product launched in our first year of operating. There is certainly room to move up for motivated individuals in this young company. However, at the moment we are still a small team (14 members) with a family vibe that stems from the brothers who founded it.
