Job description
Seasonal Farmer will work along side Farm Manager to manage 4 acres of certified organic vegetable production, and participate in the distribution of our produce to the farm stand, Common Roots programs, wholesale, and the South Burlington Food Shelf. The job runs April through Thanksgiving, with the possibility of more hours in the early spring and winter.

- 2-3 years experience at other organic commercial scale farms.
- a previous knowledge and passion of food
- excellent communication skills
- self motivated
- detail-oriented, highly organized, and observant
- time management skills
- able to work fast paced for long periods of time, in all types of weather
- able to lift 50 pounds
Desirable
- tractor operating skills
- greenhouse tomato and cucumber management
- project management experience
- knowledge of cooking produce, to accurately communicate with farm stand members
- customer service experience
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $15.00 - $25.00
