The Spice Lab is an award-winning supplier of seasonings, rubs, spices and sugars. The company sells from its retail store, online and through retailers nation-wide. We create signature blends for our own brands along with blends for celebrity chefs and companies that are private label.

Job Description:

We are looking for a freelance copy editor with a strong background in writing and food to join our team. This person could work on-site in our Pompano Beach headquarters or potentially work remotely.

Role and responsibilities:

• Edit website content, including spice and salt descriptions, and recipes
• Edit copy on existing labels of salts and spices
• Work closely with our test kitchen and design team to edit copy for marketing/PR projects and new product labeling
• Work with Amazon product listing specialist and edit product copy according to their specifications

Requirements:

• Strong writing and editing skills
• Detail oriented
• Familiarity with SEO copywriting helpful

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
