Our mission is to buy, sell, and cook with fresh, local food and to provide a community space where people come together to celebrate meals. Job description Job duties include the following:

● Consolidates farm and food hub availability ● Works with farmers to develop packaging/quality standards and availability expectations to farmers ● Consolidates and submits orders to growers and food hubs using Local Food Marketplace software (LFM) ● Collects and processes invoices and payments using existing software ● Coordinates with Receiving team on assessing quality and quantity of received products ● Works with farmers and under the guidance of the Owners to develop crop plans and growing schedules, and processes to make the buying process more seamless ● Identifies seasonal gaps and finds new farms and products to fill in those gaps ● Is crossed-trained in sales, driving and receiving and covers these positions when needed ● Visits farms or coordinates farm visits as needed - helps verify growing practices and communicate the story of each farm ● Works with non-farms, such as pantry or dairy providers, to secure product for sales ● Acts as an ambassador of the Swamp and shares our mission with the public ● Oversees and collaborates with the Marketing Team on produce promotions ● Responsible for preventing internal and external loss ● Manages all aspects of the sale of produce, including but not limited to price updates, signage, inventory, and more ● Generates additional accounting reports as assigned, such as product performance reports ● Regularly reacts to and eliminates underperforming produce ● Attends to customer orders, questions, concerns, and requests and goes the extra mile to make every guest’s experience a great one ● Directs signage needs for grocery signage ● Makes grocery-related farm purchases including meat, produce, and cheese ordering. Generates PO’s and maintains inventory ● Assists in improving any and all purchasing systems
