Potters Table began when friends who love to cook, eat, make art and pottery came together to enjoy delicious food, craft and friendship. Our goal is to expand our table, and yours, with friends, a deep sense of community, and meaningful experiences through our honest food offerings.

We craft hand rolled rustic flatbreads, crisps and other treats that highlight the bounty of the Catskills. Our baked goods are featured in local stores and farm markets in the Catskills and Hudson Valley.

Internship description

We are looking for a motivated team to grow with us.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn on the job while getting to work with many different aspects of our small but rapidly growing bakery. Professional baking experience is not required, but prior experience working in a professional kitchen and a passion for baking is preferred.

Daily responsibilities include:
*Weigh ingredients, prepare and bake items
*Maintaining ingredient inventory and stocking
*Clean and maintain sanitary, safe, and orderly work area
*Operate equipment used in food preparation, packaging or cleaning
*Package finished products

Requirements
*Detail oriented and reliable with a passion for baking and must share our high standards for the final product
*Ability to stand on your feet for eight or more hours a day
*Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment
*Understanding the importance of health and hygiene, including facial hair covering
*Attention to detail and math proficiency
*Regularly lift and move ingredient bags of 50+ pounds
*Must be able to work overtime as needed
*Must be able to commit to a weekly regular schedule

Currently seeking part-time with a 2-3 day/week commitment of 6-8 hrs a day. The right candidate can easily work this into a full time position with room for growth.
We start our bakers without experience at $13/hr.

Compensation

this position is: salaried, $7.25/hr to $15/hr
