MKT: Grafton is located within a 200 year old general store in the heart of Vermont. Every day we offer breakfast and lunch and each night we serve a lovely dinner to go. Additionally we have a full deli case with elevated meal options available for takeout. Late spring we begin our catering offerings that book up through fall and during the summer we run a pop-up restaurant at the Weston Playhouse theater in Weston, VT. Job description

MKT Kitchen is a fast past, high output, small but mighty kitchen. We are looking for a speedy but skilled, experienced and creative self motivated person to join the team.

Hours and days needed -

Sunday and Monday 8am through lunch and breakdown

Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am onward

Thursday 3pm onward

Execution of breakfast, Lunch and bakery Sunday and Monday

Three days of prep including but not limited to:

Vegetable preparation, stocks + sauces, granola, baked goods and cookies, prepared foods, nightly dinners and event prep.

Physically demanding role, must be able to be on your feet 8-10 hours a day in a hot kitchen, lift 50 lb bags, etc.

Ability to be a self starter + self led while taking clear instruction

Adherence to MKT recipes, protocols, cleanliness + sanitation requirements

Willingness to be flexible with hours + scheduling on an as needed basis. Faced paced kitchen experience a must with good knife skills and basic foundational cooking skills.

All MKT full-time status employees will receive 40 hours Paid Time Off (PTO) annually given after their first 90 days of employment. After a full year at full-time status employees are awarded 80 hours total of PTO annually.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
