You are viewing the job posting for Cheesemonger: Our Cheesemongers are our customers’ go-to for all things cheese, charcuterie, and pairings. We’re looking for passionate foodies who can provide an engaging experience at our full-service cut-to-order cheese counter. If you have more likes than dislikes when it comes to food – if you’re a fan of blue cheeses, cured olives, and rustic pâté – then we want you to join our team. The right candidate will be excited to taste everything* and follow our selling strategies!

Responsibilities:
●Greet customers and engage them in authentic conversation
●Serve as a friendly guide to our artisanal cheese, charcuterie, and specialty product selection
●Answer customers' questions and call on a manager if you require further assistance
●Cut cheeses and cured meats to order
●Safely handle knives and operate meat slicing machinery
●Provide proper packaging and labeling for cut-to-order items
●Follow selling and merchandising strategies
●Increase sales by cross-selling products and introducing new ones
●Wrap, label, and organize back-stock
●Stock cheese case and shelves
●Follow all food-safety guidelines and work-place safety guidelines
●Follow our food-dating policy
●Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment at all times
●Assist customers on the sales floor
●Fill on-line orders
●Perform opening and closing tasks
●Follow dress-code
●Must wear a face-covering and maintain social distance at all times until further notice.
●Other duties as assigned

*Must be 21 years of age or older to taste alcoholic beverages
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $7.25/hr to $15/hr
