Job description
Royalty Meat Company is looking for a motivated and energetic meat butcher/meat cutter who is hard working and wanting to further their career in the custom meat processing industry. Our service includes custom cuts of beef, pork, poultry, and lamb. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases but will train if most of the criteria is met.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Requires routine lifting or moving of at least 50 lbs, there might be an occasion when team lifts may be required for lifting heaver objects.
- Cut to order beef, pork, poultry, and lamb to specific specs for customers and packages.
- Must be able to work in a cold refrigerated environment.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Comply with safety policies, procedures, and practices including a HACCP plan.
- Complete equipment safety checklist before daily use and complete preventative maintenance.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Treat products and company property with respect.
- Ability to work individually and with co-workers.
- Have clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Repetitive work.
- Other duties that are assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Candidate is required to have at least 1 year of experience working as a butcher/meat cutter.
- Must have experience with whole carcasses.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 - $25.00
