The property's rolling hills, gardens, and acres of vegetable production are open to visitors. Located within ½ mile of Stonington harbor, Stone Acres is unique given its access to the sea, livestock, and vegetable resources.
Job description
Stone Acres Farm is seeking Farm and Harvest Crew Members for the 2021 season! We are looking for part-time and full-time jobs. There is a possibility for year-round work for the right candidate.
Job Duties include:
- Harvesting a large variety of vegetable and flower crops
- Washing/sorting/packing veggies for CSA, farm stand, and wholesale markets
- Transplanting
- Occasional greenhouse work including transplanting, watering, moving trays and general maintenance
Qualifications:
- Farm experience is not a must! We are mainly looking for individuals with a good work ethic and positive attitude.
- Interest in agriculture
- Enjoy working outside in the lovely New England weather
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to take direction and have excellent attention to detail
- Enjoy working at a quick pace and have an interest in improving and learning new skills
- Promptness and accountability
Compensation: $14 to $16 per hour depending on experience.
Compensation this position is : hourly, varies DOE, $14.00 - $17.00 Application instructions
