Petee's Pie Company is based on a simple concept: make the best pie money can buy using real ingredients. We make our pies using seasonal local produce and natural fair-trade sweeteners. Our crust is made with organic flour and grass-fed butter from New York State. We make them all from scratch on-site and bake them fresh throughout the day.

Petee's Pie Company, home of "NYC's Absolute Best Pie" (NY Mag), is in search of a new employee for Petee's Café in Clinton Hill! We are in search of an energetic employee with passion for baking to join our team as we expand our hours through the crisis and holiday season.

We expect you to have at least 1 year meaningful and relevant job experience. This position is for a Counter Server Expeditor which is a unique position involving serving customers, baking and light food preparation.

Requirements:

• Ability to carry 50 lb up stairs
• Knowledge of food safety best practices is extremely crucial given the current climate
• Food handler's certificate (or ability to obtain one quickly)
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to work late nights without losing steam.
• Availability on nights and/or weekends AND on holidays
• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
• Ability to handle feedback constructively
• Espresso experience a plus

Responsibilities include:

• Baking delicious pies, biscuits, etc! We'll teach you how.
• Engaging, informing and serving customers at the front counter
• Expediting and troubleshooting a high volume of delivery/take-out orders
• Clear communication with coworkers and management
• Cleaning tasks such as dishwashing, sanitizing, and mopping
• Using a POS system (Square) to handle payment

Hours and pay:

• You will be expected to work at least one weekend day. We'll have 3-4 shifts (24-32 hours) per week available.
• $18/hour plus tips.
• We offer health benefits for employees who work 20+ hours per week.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
