Company description
The Able Baker is a small locally owned bakery in Maplewood, New Jersey. We bake cakes, cookies, pies and other classic sweets, all from scratch on premises. We also pull a great shot of espresso. We’re a happy place in our community; well-known for our scones, GF/DF banana bread, and hand-decorated sugar cookies.
We opened our doors in October 2011 and doubled the space in 2016. We have appeared in the New York Times, Real Simple, NJ Monthly, and more. We stay involved in local arts and education initiatives, and donate generously to organizations that champion social justice, equality, and diversity.
