Job description
The person in this role will support all of the bakery facility administrative functions including inventory management, vendor communication and ordering, recipe management, printing, assistance with human resources and payroll processing, logistics coordination, services oversight, and general assistance with daily bakery operations.
The position requires an individual with excellent written and verbal skills, a get-it-done attitude, and an aptitude for wearing many hats as the role is integral to keeping the company running smoothly. The ideal candidate will be proactive, hardworking, go-getting, solution-driven, and detail-oriented. Baked-good lovers preferred.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday at the Ovenly Production Facility in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Responsibilities
- General daily assistance for production bakery management
- Administrative coordination including organizing, supply ordering, inventory management, printing, data entry, and document upkeep and organization
- Answer phones, direct calls, take messages and pass on to the right person/department
- Check mail and assist with light shipping and receiving
- Coordinate bakery communication, draft documents and official employee correspondence
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, collection of employee records, drafting and posting of job descriptions, and other administrative HR functions
- Maintain understanding of Paycom system and assist in organization and maintenance of employee files and hiring workflows
- Assist with logistics oversight of incoming and outgoing deliveries at the production bakery
- Create and maintain bakery procedure documents and company handbook
- Provide support of bakery financial systems including billing, invoicing, and AR collection
- Manage vendor communication and negotiation of prices
- Help oversee facilities communication, upkeep, services, and scheduling

Compensation
