Job description
Le Bernardin, a three-star Michelin fine dining restaurant, is seeking a full time Private Events Coordinator to join our Team. Candidates must have prior experience (preferably 2+ years) in event planning and sales or a similar role within a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel or brand environment.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, to fill the role as an ambassador to the restaurant. Extensive interaction is held with guests, private party planners, corporate event planners, vendors, and our workforce. The ideal candidate will have strong follow through in all aspects of business and project management and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring strategic and flexible thinking. Main responsibilities include daily interaction with new and existing clients, detailed event coordination with clients and all internal departments, while always maintaining poise and exceeding our guest’s expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Private Events Director in all aspects of the administration of the Events Department.
- Correspond and maintain leads and inquiries from Tripleseat, emails
- Manage the banquet event function sheets to ensure all food & beverage details are correct and communicated properly with all direct departments related to the function for a smooth and efficient event
- Advise clients on menu selections, room set up details, etc.
- Conduct site visits with clients for both Les Salon Bernardin and Le Bernardin Privé
- Greet host/clients on site at the beginning of an event to ensure client is content and adjust last minute details
- Communicate details with all in house departments involved with the event
- Assist with managing the day-to-day duties of the Events Department
- Update menus, information packets and floor plans.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel events.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Work schedule is flexible although some nights and weekends are scheduled as needed

Compensation:
Benefits and compensation commensurate with experience.
