We operate a brick and mortar store and kitchen in Cambridge, MA where we sell pure spices, spice blends, and spice accessories, as well as teach classes and hold events. We aim to create an intense sensory and educational experience for people who visit our shop and to bring them closer to the communities of farmers around the world who cultivate these flavors. Our products are sold directly to customers online, used by chefs, and sold at other retail stores across North America. Job description
Join our growing team! The Spice Packer & Receiver will work out of our brand new production facility in Winchester center (some training to happen in Cambridge). Main duties include packing spices (either by hand, or by operating a filling machine) and batching/storing/allocating them appropriately for retail and wholesale orders. Other duties include receiving shipments and assisting with maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Following direction from Operations and Wholesale Coordinators, pack spices for retail and wholesale orders
- Observe first-in-first-out procedures, batch tracking, and safety sealing for items
- Assist with gathering items for wholesale orders or restocking shipments for the retail space in Cambridge
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on packing machine

- Receive incoming shipments at Winchester facility against purchase orders
- Document and communicate any issues/damages to shipments with management
- Organize and store incoming shipments according to Curio procedures

- Complete assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the facility
- Assist in keeping spice and packaging storage organized
Requirements

- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
- Commitment of 1 year minimum

Compensation
