Job description
Alidoro is looking for dedicated, passionate, hard working individuals to be part of our corporate team. Our catering program is a busy and growing part of our business, and we are excited to add a Catering Coordinator to our team!
As part of the sales team, the Catering Coordinator works with the sales and store operations teams to coordinate catering sales at Alidoro's 5 locations. He/she is a highly responsible, organized, and detail-oriented individual who reports directly to the Senior Sales Manager. The Catering Coordinator provides top level customer service and execution.
The position of Catering Coordinator is a dynamic role, and the candidate must have the ability to thrive in an office environment while simultaneously possessing a willingness and enthusiasm to step away from the desk and into the stores, or occasionally off-site. The Catering Coordinator has a keen ability to recognize priorities and know when and where to focus his/her efforts.
The Catering Coordinator will be trained on all aspects of the catering department and will be expected to operate autonomously with the guidance and oversight of the Senior Sales Manager. In addition to the below responsibilities, the Catering Coordinator should actively share ideas to increase sales and improve Alidoro's overall catering service.
Responsibilities to include:
- Communicating with clients by email and phone regarding new and existing orders
- Responding to and following up with clients in a timely manner
- Generating client proposals and contracts
- Clearly communicating with operations teams regarding orders
- Scheduling courier service for deliveries
- Communicating and problem-solving with clients, store operations teams, and courier service
- Accurately processing catering payments daily
- Actively soliciting feedback from clients
- Reporting a daily summary of orders including accolades, issues, and financial transactions to Senior Sales Manager and Store Managers
- Occasionally assisting with on or off-site catering events
Required Skills:
- Professional verbal and written communication skills: the individual should feel equally comfortable speaking in person, on the phone and via email with Alidoro colleagues and external clients
- Sales skills: the ability to educate and influence clients to cater with Alidoro
- Time management skills: the individual will be able to self-manage his/her time and adjust their daily routine based on the flow of the business
- Natural customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with changes on short notice
- Highly organized
- Strong attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Interest and experience in sales and catering
- A sincere passion for food
- Refined customer service experience
- Previous food operations experience preferred
- Higher Education Degree preferred
- 100% honesty and integrity
Job Requirements:
- The Catering Coordinator will work a Monday-Friday schedule, however the candidate must be flexible to work an occasional evening or weekend with advanced notice if the business requires
