Company description
We are a diversified, sustainability-focused, chef-driven farm and culinary garden. We grow lettuces and specialty greens in a hydroponic greenhouse and grow a variety of seasonal vegetables in our gardens.
We are a friendly, hard-working team of year-round growers who take our work seriously. We deliver six days a week; most days are face-paced, and some days are a little hectic.
In addition to growing for some of the Southeast's best chefs, we also grow vegetables for meal kit companies, our own Farm Box service, and other regional CSA programs.
Job description
This is an intensive and multifaceted position that will require patience, flexibility and the ability to multi-task.
The Farmer will work directly with owners and will participate in all aspects of garden and greenhouse management as well as inventory and packing logistics.
Greenhouse Expectations:
- seeding, transplanting, and harvesting
- monitor greenhouse tanks & plant health
- identify and address bug pressure
- assist with periodic cleaning & wet wall maintenance
Garden Expectations:
- seeding, transplanting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting
- sorting, washing, and packing vegetables and berries
- help maintain irrigation, assist with fertilization, monitor plant health, identify and address bug pressure
- participate in various maintenance and construction projects
Farm Logistics
- maintain current and accurate garden and greenhouse inventories
- manage supply and materials inventory
- manage order packaging and ensure order accuracy
- help with order intake, fulfillment, and route planning

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $10/hr to $15/hr
