Communications Professional

The University of Vermont seeks a Communications Professional for the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program, which is funded by the USDA. See www.northeastsare.org. This position is responsible for the development, design, and content of publications, news releases, and social media to assure the program message is consistent, clear, and targeted. Tasks include producing promotional materials for grant programs and educational products, managing contact lists, developing grant instructional materials, and writing features and news copy to tell the story of Northeast SARE grants. This is a 12-month, full-time position with full benefits, based in the S. Burlington office of UVM Extension, available on 2/1/22. Northeast SARE is committed to engaging agricultural communities of color and others that are socially disadvantaged in our regional agricultural systems. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and two to four years of experience or equivalent qualifications and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with different timelines, and to complete projects in a timely manner.
