Company description
We are a small scale Certified Organic farm in Northern New Mexico. We grow 2 acres of intensive vegetable production for market sales in Santa Fe and Taos. We also run a small CSA for our local community. We focus on season extension and do a lot of high tunnel growing. We follow organic standards and practice low tillage, ecosystem management, and water conservation. We grow high quality produce and enjoy providing our local community with healthy, vibrant food.
Job description
Work includes everything from seed to sale: planting, transplanting, weeding, setting up drip tape, pruning, harvesting, washing and packing for sale. Also farmers market set up, sales and break down.
Opportunities may also include working with a small herd of dairy goats, general acequia management, and more!
Candidates must have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and willingness to follow instructions whether supervised or not. We work hard but have a good time doing it.
We welcome candidates with skills beyond market growing including chainsaw skills, general carpentry, construction, food processing and preservation, etc.
Seasonal position begins in March/April 2022 and ends October/November 2022
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
