Heritage Foods is a farm-to-table online butcher and wholesale distributor dedicated to supporting family farmers raising livestock with old-school genetics on pasture. These farmers cannot rely on the commodity market for sales because their animals take too long to grow. At Heritage Foods we purchase all of our turkeys, pigs, lamb, goats, chickens, ducks and geese nose-to-tail and sell everything online at HeritageFoods.com to customers in all 50 states as well as 150+ of America's best restaurants from coast-to-coast. Heritage genetics are famous globally for their gastronomic attributes and ours are raised with no antibiotics, using traditional farming methods.

Heritage Foods is seeking a dynamic person with a desire to work at the cutting edge of sustainable agriculture. We are in our 20th year of servicing America's best restaurants, butchers, artisans and home cooks with the rarest, hardest to find, pasture raised heritage meats (and meal kits) — and we are growing!
We are a small, but strong team looking for someone with experience in e-commerce operations, fulfillment, inventory management, and project management. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and is comfortable wearing various hats while managing multiple tasks on a deadline.
We are a small, but strong team looking for someone with experience in e-commerce operations, fulfillment, inventory management, and project management. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and is comfortable wearing various hats while managing multiple tasks on a deadline.
Major job components include:
— completing daily order fulfillment using Shopify e-commerce platform and ShipStation
— overseeing warehouse and product placement including organizing products in the freezer
— daily/weekly receiving of product
— processing customer orders
— assisting with implementation of new fulfillment systems
— assisting with inventory management
— coordinating our mail order rewards program and maintaining relationships with outside brand partners i.e. sourcing and ordering product
— some customer service correspondence
— coordination and back end organization of special projects particularly the annual Heritage Turkey project in November
Requirements:
— experience with Shopify, ShipStation and high level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
— excellent communication and writing skills
— ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast- paced environment
— comfortable working in an open office environment
— work well collaboratively, but comfortable working independently
— must be okay with dogs; we have two small dogs in our office
— ability to lift 40-50lb
— comfortable with regular freezer/refrigerator work
Pay range is $60k - $75k per year.
