Champlain Valley Apiaries is a 3rd generation Vermont family owned business. Founded in 1931 by innovative beekeeper Charles Mraz, we have been producing delicious Vermont honey for nearly 90 years. Our mission, along with producing the highest quality honey, is to foster sustainable agriculture and promote the importance of honeybees to our food system. Job description

Do you have an interest in beekeeping? Experience is great but not required. We will train. Live and work in VT.

If you enjoy working outside and working hard, have an interest in sustainable agriculture, food production, and the environment; you will enjoy beekeeping. Yes, you will get stung on occasion but you will learn that it is not so bad. You will continually learn this unique and interesting field and the ecology and issues that surround it. Your office will be the beautiful Champlain Valley of Vermont.

Applicant needs to be reliable and hard working. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instruction is critical. Position requires the ability to lift at least 55 pounds to your waist. This is a full time position starting immediately running at least through September, with longer term employment possible at the end of the honey season. Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
