Delish is searching for an enterprising part-time Test Kitchen Assistant who will assist Delish’s food team in kitchen organization, grocery shopping (as needed), testing, food preparation and testing for photo and video shoots at our Midtown test kitchen. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, is a skilled cook, and is genuinely excited by Delish’s content. What you’ll do:

• Organize and prep (mise en place) ingredients for use in shoots.
• Prepare dishes for shoots under the guidance of the food team.
• Test recipes under the guidance of the food team.
• Assist in kitchen cleanup/breakdown.

Who you are:

• A skilled cook with experience working in a professional kitchen, and/or a graduate of a professional culinary program.
• Organizational awareness: understands efficiency and detail in the context of a test kitchen environment.
• An eye for making food “camera ready”.
• A lover of fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
