Job descriptionPosition Description: Head of Curriculum
The Head of Curriculum will take responsibility for the overall planning and implementation of Studio ATAO’s learning resources, specifically focusing on a Food Systems 101 Curriculum to start, and eventually working closely with our Head of Content to turn our existing content into curriculum-based education. This person will work closely with the Executive Director in order to foster innovation, accessibility, and excellence across all future curriculum formats.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and execution of Studio ATAO’s first curriculum on Food Systems 101, including iterating and improving the curriculum over time. This will include both the virtual (web-hosted) curriculum as well as live cohort learning offered 1-2x annually.
- Survey, interview, and oversee user research and testing in order to create curriculums that center the needs of those in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry
- Collaborate with the Studio ATAO team on the evaluation of experts/advisors to bring onboard for each curriculum
- Develop future curricula around Studio ATAO content and research, while keeping in mind industry news, gaps and opportunities within existing FBH education
- Manage all workstreams related to curriculum development
Formal requirements:
A strong candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in curriculum design, development, and implementation. Familiarity and professional experience in creating adult professional learning programs are a major bonus.
- Experience and familiarity with the food/beverage/hospitality industry, especially through an anthropological, historical, political, and/or academic context.
- Ability to translate academic texts and learnings into accessible educational content
- Experience with various learning management software (LMS).
- Familiarity with creating virtual curriculums.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, and ability to lead through collaboration and cooperation.
