Just Bakery Mission
Just Bakery of Atlanta is a non-profit partnering with our neighbors who resettled as refugees on paid job training, professional certification, and a living wage. JBA was founded to be a creative and viable option for next steps in the long-term resettlement process by providing opportunities for our partners to build economic security as they recreate home in the Atlanta area. We bake with local and sustainable ingredients whenever possible and work to build a more diverse, compassionate, and connected community for all. We now have a food truck selling beverages and baked goods straight from our kitchen. We are looking to hire a food truck worker to join our team.

Job Overview
The JBA food truck operates 7am - 6pm Tuesday through Friday at the intersection of Fairoaks Rd and Oak Grove Rd, near Oak Grove United Methodist Church (1722 Oak Grove Rd). Food truck workers are the first point of contact with customers and represent Just Bakery of Atlanta. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, thorough, and hard-working. Compensation/Benefits:
- $15 per hour
- We cannot offer healthcare or paid time off at this time
Food Truck worker responsibilities:
- Arriving to work on time and clocking in/out on Homebase
- Greet customers as they approach the truck
- Answer any customer questions and inform them of menu items and options
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and allergens
- Prepare beverages such as espresso drinks, coffee, and tea
- Take customer orders and check them out using the Square electronic POS system
- Clean the equipment and truck as needed according to food safety standards
- Keep the truck clean and orderly
- Stock service window area with customer supplies as needed
- Maintain required records including inventory and counts
- Follow food safety regulations at all times
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Create, input, and update daily sales sheets and cash logs from Square reports
- Drive truck to selling location or bakery to complete opening and closing tasks
- Organize unsold baked items according to procedures for donation
- Follow the dress code – comfortable, closed-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops), a hat/hairnet with hair pulled back, and a KN95 mask
- Report any sales equipment issues to managers
Minimum requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be on your feet for long periods of time
- Professional and friendly
- Good team member and flexible
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Effective communication skills with guests and staff
- Quick thinking and basic math skills
Qualifications for Food Truck Worker
- Ability to listen and read directions
- Great work ethic
- Good communication utilizing text and email
- Ability to learn new skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
- Ability to stand for 8 hours a day
- Interest in obtaining ServSafe Food Handlers certificate
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with a variety of patrons
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, cleaning, maintenance, and food safety
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid (1st, 2nd, and booster shot), and committed to receiving future boosters when recommended by the CDC-proof of vaccination required
Weekly Shifts:
- Up to 4 shifts per week (schedule is subject to change)
- Training is required

Wednesday 5am-8pm
Thursday 5am-8pm
Friday 5am-8pm
Saturday special events as needed
Sunday special events as needed
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
