Job description
Woodhouse Pizza opened its doors in March of 2021 and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and numerous travel and food blogs. We are a family-run business that is owner operated committed to high-quality food, natural wine, and excellent relaxed service and great privet parties. Located in the Catskills, we serve locals, weekenders, and second home owners alike, We are looking for a knowledgeable person to head up the day-to-day operations of Woodhouse Pizza as well as manage our calendar of privet dining and small events. The position is salary with potential for a bonus with goals met and or commissions. During the summer we are open 3 days a week and during the winter we are open 3 days a week with some longer stretches of vacation time in the deep winter months.

KEY DUTIES
- Hire and direct FOH staff in service
- Manage both private dining and day-to-day operations.
- Manage the preparation bar for service
- Weekly inventory and ordering for the following week's bar deliveries.
- Manage small events and privet dining execution.
- Manage bar execution for weddings.
- Manage restaurant event calendar and keep it up to date by cross-referencing with the hotel team.
- communicate in a timely manner via email, phone, and in person with the events team and guests when booking and executing privet events.
- Maintain service quality and food costs and report weekly to owners.
- Oversee kitchen, bar, and restaurant health and safety, supervise clean-up according to side work checklists.
- Update side work checklists as processes evolve.
- Receive deliveries, Stock inventory appropriately, and manage any order errors.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Communicate Needs to kitchen team both r and in regular dining and with BEO etc. for special events.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Monitor menu items and make recommendations and changes to maximize efficiency and make seasonal menu changes & specials.
- Work with owners and BOH teams to help improve the guest experience.
- Communicate menu changes to FOH so that online ordering and menus can be printed and posted in a timely manner.
- Help book and execute privet dining and special events.
- Work with ownership on marketing and social media promotions.
- Help plan and execute special weekend packages for the hotel and restaurant.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven restaurant experience
- Excellent understanding of restaurant business and ability to work with our accountant and owners to track costs within our existing systems.
- Familiar with industry’s best practice
- Familiar with food costs and ordering
- familiarity with events
- Experience with fostering a positive and motivated team through a clear, fair, and consistent management strategy.
- ability to work in both restaurant and events settings.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
